Michael Schultz.

Michael Schultz is an accomplished higher education leader with over 30 years of experience in student housing and campus development.

As Director of University Housing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), he helped transform the campus from primarily commuter to a vibrant residential community, overseeing four new residence halls, major apartment renovations, and more than $216 million in capital improvements.

After retiring in 2019, Schultz continued to serve institutions through strategic roles, including Vice President at Project Management Advisors and returning to SIUE to guide key initiatives such as COVID-19 response efforts, emergency management planning, and student health insurance implementation. His leadership spans crisis management, organizational development, and student success.

Schultz is a past President of the Association of College and University Housing Officers–International (ACUHO-I) and has held multiple global training positions. He holds degrees from Mercer University and Florida State University and has been recognized with top industry honors, including induction into the ACUHO-I Parthenon Society and the James C. Grimm Leadership and Service Award.
